Reno, NV. Sarah Ruhl’s Romantic Comedy: STAGE KISS opens Brüka Theatre’s 2016/17 Season on September 30, 2016. Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. Stage Kiss captures Sarah Ruhl’s singular voice. It is a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss—or when actors share a real one.
STAGE KISS opens with a post-show opening night champagne reception and appetizers from the Wild River Grille. The show runs weekly Thursday through Sunday through October 22. Evening shows begin at 8:00 pm (Artist night is Wednesday October 19A, 2016. – ALL TICKETS are $10 for Artist Night.) There is one Sunday matinee on October 9 beginning at 2:00 PM. The matinee is followed by a talk back with the company and our audience. The doors open a half an hour before curtain time. Suggested for ages 14 and up.

ABOUT BRÜKA THEATRE In its 24th season in downtown Reno, Brüka has been named “Best Theatre Company” by The News and Review nineteen years running.
