Reno, NV - Brüka Theatre’s 27th Season: The Bridge opens with The Legend of Georgia McBride, Matthew Lopez’s irresistible 2015 comedy that makes lip-syncing to country music in heels, wig and miniskirt a not-to-be-missed performance. Director Rod Hearn and choreographer Anna Costello steer this contemporary comedy with  an unexpected and welcome balance of comedy and heart.  

THE STORY:  He’s young, he’s broke, his landlord’s knocking at the door, and he’s just found out his wife is going to have a baby. To make matters even more desperate, Casey is fired from his gig as an Elvis impersonator in a run-down, small-town Florida bar.  When the bar owner brings in a B-level drag show to replace his act, Casy finds that he has a whole lot to learn about show business--and himself.

All Brüka mainstage evening shows now begin at 7:30 PM. Matinees begin at 2:00 PM. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain time. 

PRICES:  General admission: $22.  Admission for Students/Seniors/Military: $20.  All tickets are $26 at the door.

PARKING - We NO LONGER validate parking at the Parking Gallery on First and Sierra Street.   We also suggest convenient parking in the Court Street parking lot across from The Pioneer Theater and walking across the new Virginia Street Bridge to Brüka, FREE after 5:00 PM. 

LOCATION - Brüka Theatre is located at the corner of First and Virginia Streets in evolving downtown Reno next to the Virginia Street Bridge.  Our box office is open Wednesday through Saturday.
