Reno, NV - Brüka Theatre’s 27th Season: The Bridge continues with the comeback of an original Brüka comedy: Son of a … Büttcracker 9. 

THE STORY:  What began as a parody of The Nutcracker, has evolved into a regional cult hit, offering a different underbelly to the original ballet each year it is performed. This year’s theme explores “re-creation” with a wink to Mary Shelly and an observance of neologisms that dynamically flavor a new holiday conversation for the millennium.

All Brüka mainstage evening shows now begin at 7:30 PM Matinees begin at 2:00 PM. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain time. 

PRICES:  General admission: $28.  Admission for Students/Seniors/Military: $26.  All tickets are $34 at the door.

Reno, NV - Brüka Theatre’s 27th Season: The Bridge opens with The Legend of Georgia McBride, Matthew Lopez’s irresistible 2015 comedy that makes lip-syncing to country music in heels, wig and miniskirt a not-to-be-missed performance. Director Rod Hearn and choreographer Anna Costello steer this contemporary comedy with  an unexpected and welcome balance of comedy and heart.  

THE STORY:  He’s young, he’s broke, his landlord’s knocking at the door, and he’s just found out his wife is going to have a baby. To make matters even more desperate, Casey is fired from his gig as an Elvis impersonator in a run-down, small-town Florida bar.  When the bar owner brings in a B-level drag show to replace his act, Casy finds that he has a whole lot to learn about show business--and himself.

Reno, NV.   Join Brüka Theatre on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for a rummage sale with combined theatrical, home goods and clothing. Items that have been featured in various Brüka shows or donated by patrons and the community.  Affordable prices! Great resource for Burningman-couches, rugs and one of a kind costumes! All proceeds and donations will help fund Brüka’s 27th Anniversary Season - The Bridge.  Nicky’s will be open with refreshments for your shopping happiness.

LOCATION AND PARKING Brüka Theatre is located at the corner of First and Virginia Streets in downtown Reno next to the Virginia Street Bridge. We NO LONGER validate convenient parking at the Parking Gallery on First and Sierra Street.  We highly suggest parking in the Court Street parking lot across from The Pioneer Theater after 5:00 PM and weekends and walking across the new Virginia Street Bridge to Brüka.
