Reno, NV. July is all about ART. Tony DeGeiso directs Art, written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton. “Anyone looking for a play that is funny, sophisticated, stylish, stimulating and moving should go to 'ART'." —Independent (London). DeGeiso directed Reza’s hit play The God Of Carnage for Brüka last year. Art brings three friends together to decide the value of and worth of a painting that leads to a square off over the canvas, using it as an excuse to relentlessly batter one another over various failures. This comedy won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play.
Art runs July 5 through July 26, 2013 at Brüka Theatre in downtown Reno. Opening night (July 5) enjoys a post-show champagne reception with catering by the Wild River Grille. Tuesday (one Tuesday & Wednesday show – July 16 & 17) through Saturday shows at 8 PM with one Sunday matinee performances on July 7 at 2 PM.
